Government and Private Schools Winter Vacation Extended Upto 11 January 2014

The Punjab government has extended winter vacation for public and private schools across the province until January 11, 2015.

All Government and Private Schools in Punjab Will Reopen On January 12, 2014

Secretary (schools education) Abdul Jabbar Shaheen said the winter break was extended in order to ensure maximum security measures at schools and in the meanwhile raising and construction of boundary walls and other measures would be undertaken. It is pertinent to mention here that the Higher Education Department had announced the winter break until Jan 9 (Friday) and now the institutes of higher education across the Punjab will reopen on January 12 (Monday).

Military Operation Zarb-e-Azb Continues 13 More Militants Killed

23-Jul-14. The military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan continues successfully in North Waziristan. 13 more terrorists were killed in the fresh airstrikes of Pakistan Air Force fighter jets in the tribal area.

The latest causalities have propelled the toll of terrorists killed in the operation to 545 since its launch on June 15 while more than 100 sanctuaries have been destroyed. Most of the terrorists have been killed in Boya, Degan, Shawal, Miranshah, Mir Ali and Datta Khel areas.
